Commercial & Domestic Gas Installation
MPM Plumbing & Mechanical Services is a Gas Safe registered company providing commercial and domestic gas installation, servicing, and safety certification across London and the South East. Our engineers carry all relevant gas qualifications and are experienced across the full range of commercial and domestic gas applications.
About This Service
Gas safety is non-negotiable — for your building, your occupants, and your legal compliance. MPM’s Gas Safe registered engineers carry out all gas work to the highest standard, in full compliance with the Gas Safety (Installation and Use) Regulations 1998 and current British Standards. Every installation is pressure tested, purged, and signed off with the appropriate certification before commissioning.
On the commercial side, MPM has extensive experience installing gas mains infrastructure, meter house connections, boiler house pipework, and appliance connections across a wide range of commercial environments — including offices, hotels, universities, and industrial facilities. Our portfolio includes gas installations at Warwick University, Fulham Palace Road (full M&E fit-out), and the Kent & Surrey Nationals Golf Course & Hotel.
For domestic clients, MPM provides a full range of gas services — from new appliance installations and gas pipe alterations to annual safety inspections and landlord Gas Safety Certificates. We understand that domestic gas work needs to be completed efficiently and with minimal disruption to the household, and our engineers always leave the property clean, tidy, and fully certified.

Frequently Asked Questions
Yes. MPM Plumbing & Mechanical Services is fully Gas Safe registered, which is the legal requirement for any company or individual carrying out gas work on domestic or commercial properties in the UK. All of our engineers who carry out gas work hold the relevant Gas Safe qualifications for the type of work they undertake. You can verify our Gas Safe registration at any time on the Gas Safe Register website.
MPM carries out a wide range of commercial gas work, including new gas main and meter house installations, boiler house and plant room gas pipework, commercial kitchen appliance connections, gas pressure testing and purging, and commercial gas safety certification (CP17). We have delivered commercial gas installations across offices, hotels, universities, and industrial facilities — including Warwick University, the Kent & Surrey Nationals Golf Course & Hotel, and the Fulham Palace Road M&E fit-out.
Yes. MPM provides annual Gas Safety Certificates (CP12) for landlords, which are a legal requirement under the Gas Safety (Installation and Use) Regulations 1998. Landlords must have all gas appliances, pipework, and flues in their rental properties checked by a Gas Safe registered engineer every 12 months, and provide a copy of the certificate to tenants. MPM offers annual inspection and certification contracts for landlords managing single properties or larger portfolios.
If you smell gas, you should immediately stop using all electrical switches, open windows and doors to ventilate the property, and leave the building. Do not use naked flames or electrical switches. Call the National Gas Emergency Service on 0800 111 999, which operates 24 hours a day. Once the immediate emergency has been dealt with and the property has been declared safe, contact MPM to carry out a full gas tightness test and inspection before the gas supply is reinstated.
Commercial gas appliances should be serviced at least annually by a Gas Safe registered engineer in accordance with the manufacturer's recommendations and current gas safety legislation. For high-usage commercial appliances — such as commercial kitchen equipment or large heating boilers — more frequent servicing may be required. Regular servicing maintains appliance efficiency, extends equipment life, ensures ongoing safety compliance, and is typically a requirement of the appliance manufacturer's warranty.
Yes. MPM provides an emergency gas call-out service for both commercial and domestic clients. If you experience a suspected gas leak, loss of gas supply, or gas appliance fault outside of normal working hours, contact us on 07487 650441 and our engineers will respond as quickly as possible to make the situation safe and diagnose the fault.
