Located on the site of the historic Curtain Theatre — where Shakespeare first performed Romeo and Juliet — The Stage is a development of considerable cultural and architectural significance. The 37-floor residential tower delivers apartments ranging from studios to three-bedroom homes, with mechanical systems designed to meet the demands of contemporary urban living while integrating with the development’s communal heating and building services infrastructure.

MPM’s scope encompasses the full plumbing and mechanical installation across all 37 floors, covering studio, one, two, and three-bedroom apartment types. Our primary distribution pipework throughout the building has been installed using brazing — a technique that delivers the highest-quality, most durable joints in large-scale residential pipework installations — with the same standard applied from the main distribution risers right through to the individual flat fit-outs. Working at this height and scale requires precise sequencing of work floors, careful interface management between apartment types, and consistent quality maintained across a high volume of repeated installations.

The Stage is MPM’s largest residential project to date and a defining reference in our portfolio. It demonstrates our capability to deliver a full mechanical package on a major high-rise residential development — combining the technical precision of brazed primary distribution with the programme discipline and coordination required to deliver across 37 floors of mixed-tenure apartments in one of London’s most prominent new developments.
