MPM Plumbing & Mechanical Services delivered a full mechanical and plumbing scope on a seven-floor residential building on Fulham Palace Road. The project encompassed the complete heating and water distribution across all floors together with the construction of a purpose-built energy centre plant room — showcasing MPM’s ability to deliver complex multi-system mechanical packages from energy centre to final distribution, fully commissioned and handed over.
About This Project
The Fulham Palace Road project required MPM to manage the complete mechanical scope across a seven-floor residential building, from first fix distribution right through to a fully operational energy centre. The plant room at the heart of the project comprises two 125kW modular boilers, a 1,000-litre buffer vessel and a boosted tank pump set — providing the capacity and resilience the building requires. MPM also installed the gas supply to the plant room using Viega’s stainless steel Sanpresssystem, and used Viega’s branch-in connector tool to incorporate pressure and temperature gauge pockets, maximising space efficiency and minimising the use of additional fittings.
All seven floors of heating distribution pipework were installed and pressure-tested using the Viega Megapress system, chosen for its speed, reliability and long-term performance credentials. The thermal insulation, BMS controls and fluing system completed the installation, with the BMS control panel connecting all mechanical systems into a single, managed building services infrastructure ready for handover.
The Fulham Palace Road project demonstrates MPM’s ability to deliver a full mechanical scope from energy centre to building-wide distribution — with the technical depth to specify and install premium product systems, the programme discipline to work across all seven floors without disruption, and the coordination capability to integrate pipework, controls, insulation and gas installation into a single, professionally managed contract.
