About This Project
University campus projects present a distinctive set of mechanical engineering challenges — large, complex buildings serving thousands of users, high and varied demands for heating, cooling, ventilation, and water services, the need to maintain operational continuity in adjacent buildings throughout the works, and the requirement to deliver systems that will perform reliably for decades with minimal disruption to academic activities.
MPM’s scope at Warwick University encompassed heating and mechanical services installation, commercial gas works, domestic water services, and associated plant room and distribution pipework. Our engineers worked in close coordination with the university’s estates team and the main contractor to ensure the programme was managed effectively and that occupied areas of the campus were protected from disruption throughout the works.
